Our adventure began during a pandemic.

In 2020, the world came to a stop, and lives were upended. Our own livelihood was impacted and we suddenly had to figure out our next step to create more security in the future. Our answer to the pandemic was to buy an old building in Chris’ hometown to renovate it.

What started as fixing up a building quickly turned into helping to revitalize a piece of Appalachia. Ronceverte, West Virginia is a small community of wonderful people with so much potential. We hope to be part of the change that will bring this town back to life.

There is so much we want to do with this building to bring life to this town. There is a dream of creating a restaurant that can bring new flavors to the town to excite the residents. The restaurant would also position itself to bring philanthropic help to this community. We envision a restaurant that works with the city to close the food insecurity gap with donations and a nonprofit. Our vision is to create something bigger than ourselves and really make something for the community that they can be proud of.

With Los Angeles locked down and nothing to keep us in the city, we packed up our car and drove across the country. We didn’t know exactly what we were in store for but knew that we were about to embark on an adventure that will forever change our lives.

The welcome we received after arriving in the town has been incredible. So many people in the town are eager to see the town thrive again. We are dealing with some issues that have held us up but we are optimistic that we break through and make Ronceverte the thriving community it once was. Our vision of creating a building that the city can be proud of is underway. We want to make the people of Ronceverte proud of their city and to see the potential we see here.

This town is the perfect place for revitalization by people who care. We are so happy to help with that vision. We love this town.
